My first travel.

I started traveling since I was little I was born in mexico and all my family lived in the U.S.A so all my travel when I was little was set upon the U.S but I was 11 when I did my first big trip, it started when me and my mom decided we where tired of always going to the same places and that we should discover something else, I had a lot of brasilian friends and I  had watched a lot of movies related to Brasil at the time so I decided Brasil was a good place to start, because we knew nothing about it, at first my mom was really scared but I was a very persuasive  child  and I finally convinced her, at first we had to find a good travel agency because we did not wanted to do it all on our own and besides we needed a good tour guide, we also  needed a visa to go to Brasil so we had to start the papers, but then summer came and it was time to go, it was a very long flight but when we finally landed in Rio de janeiro  it was unforgettable, it was winter in Rio so we expected a nice weather not something very hot, but surprise it was really HOT, neither of us knew how to speak Portuguese but we tried to understand as much as we could, once the tour guy picked us up I feel it in my stomach this was going to be a Great adventure. When we got to our hotel it was on the beach of ipanema is one of the most beautiful parts of Rio and it was already night, it was a beautiful hotel called fasano I remember they made an exception on us because that hotel was not part of the tour plan because it was to expensive I think lady gaga stayed there when she went, but since we where only going for a few days my mom said it was ok. One of the most beautiful things that happens when you travel to a place for the first time is that you do not know what to expect everything is new everything surprises you, you are like a kid on Christmas, on our first day we went to see the Cristo del corcobado it is a beautiful sculpture of Jesus Christ set on a very high mountain it is one of the most amaizing things I have ever seen, and you get to have the most beautiful view of Rio. Then we went to another mountain called pao de azucar it was beautiful but it wasn´t as beautiful as el Cristo del Corcobado, and then at night we decided to explore the restaurants of Rio de Janeiro. And it was a bit scary because we where alone walking at night but that is also part of the experience that makes it fun. Then on the next day we went on a tour that took us all around Rio and we saw the beaches and the streets and the culture, and we got to see one of the important sights called Copacabana, and at night we finally got to try the restaurant of the hotel but we only ate entrés because it was to  expensive and we decided to order a hamburger outside instead, but the next day is when we went to the Fabelas and that completly change me because that is the poor place in Rio and in our tour it was just me and my mom and a couple they where from Australia and they where really nice we are still friends. when we arrived at the fabelas i learned that happines can be found everywhere and that sometimes when you don´t have that much you can have more fun. the people in the fabelas bearely had a place to live but yet they where alway hearing music and they where very nice to us. in the end when i left Rio after amaizing experiences i gained more than what i expected i gained knoweldge, culture but most of all i gained friends, love and new experiences. that would marked me for life
